Sadly on December 8th, 2021 a bushfire swept through the beautiful Boranup Forest from Redgate in the North and as far as Karridale in the South. We know it reached from the coast to Caves Road and beyond at times.
Due to the unique geological make up of the Leeuwin Ridge, which features porous limestone and high levels of humidity below the surface of the forest which have now been impacted, we believe it will be a minimum of 3 months and much more likely up to six months until we can safely access our favourite wild caves again.
We look forward to the healing and regeneration of our gorgeous forest – In the meantime we will continue to operate our awesome abseiling and rock climbing tours on the Wilyabrup Sea Cliffs and would be so stoked for you to join us as we hang out.
